
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Flour
- 1-1/2 c Water
- (1) 15 ounce can Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoon Chili Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 2 teaspoon White Pepper
- 2 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Salt
Directions
- Melt butter in the bottom of a medium pot over medium heat. Add flour, whisking it into the butter until fully incorporated. Continue heating and stirring until the flour is slightly browned (browning the flour in this way adds a slightly nutty flavor).
- Slowly add in the water, whisking constantly to avoid large clumps from forming. Add in the tomato sauce and the remaining spices.
- Continue heating sauce until warmed through. Enjoy!
Makes 3-1/2 cups of sauce.
